The Sailors Ball features the famous and unique “theme-room format.” Guests will be able to glide from one location to another and experience different sights and sounds throughout the evening.

America’s Cup 12 Meter Room
Be transported back in time to the 1987 America’s Cup in Freemantle, Australia. The NY Harbor Sailing Foundation owns two of the 12 Meters which competed in this Cup. They are both named “America II” and now they sail in New York Harbor. Come meet some of the sailors involved in the 12 Meter Program and find out how you can buy a ticket to ride on these incredible machines. And if you are already a sailor, find out how you can charter the boats for a company outing or to race against your best friend or business rival. The America II 12 Meters raced in 1987, so the room will feature 80s music! In the background, you can see great Hollywood racing footage from the movie “Wind.”
The Mount Gay Rum Corp Championship Room
If you a racing sailor who works at a company in the tri-state area, you can enter a team in the Mount Gay Corporate Championship. You and your co-workers will have an incredible evening of sailing and socializing in New York Harbor and you could win it all. If you would like to sponsor a hot new sailing event and meet corporate sailors, visit this room to find out more. The Championship is a ladder event consisting of a series of Industry Regattas. Teams from industries like Finance, Shipping, Technology and Real Estate will meet in the harbor once every Thursday during the summer for a fun regatta. After racing, everyone is invited back to the Manhattan Yacht Club for a Mt Gay Rum Party. The top two teams of each Industry Regatta move on to the semi-finals. the top two teams in the semi-finals will match race for the championship on the America’s Cup 12 Meters.
The Arabella Mega Yacht Room
If “mega yachting” is your thing, go right to the Arabella Room. You can meet the Captain and crew. Arabella is a stunning 157-foot mega yacht which serves as one of the flagships of Manhattan Yacht Club. From May through July, she is anchored in NY Harbor and available for you to visit. Rosé wine and champagne taste better than you can imagine on a mega yacht. In August, Arabella travels to the Hamptons and offers week-long vacations to lucky New Yorkers who wish to visit all the great waterfront venues like Navy Beach, Sag Harbor and Sunset Beach. Only at Midnight does the VVIP Room open. Sponsored by Heineken Beer, the Boom Boom Room helps finish the night with a driving beat blasting from a huge sound system. This is the hottest party from mid-night until 1 am, but you must stop by beforehand to get your pass because space is limited.
