The New York Harbor Sailing Foundation is a non-profit corporation established in New York in 1994. The mission of the Foundation is to foster and promote amateur sailing of national and international importance in New York Harbor. The Foundation is recognized as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service and donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Your donation supports and helps pave the way for a natural progression of age appropriate sailing activities.
The Foundation organizes “Operation Optimist” with 30 Optimist dinghies for youth from 8 to 13 years of age.
The next level is a low cost sailing camp for teens on J/24s. This camp allows teens to learn to work together in a team setting and improve their sailing skill set.
Finally, the Foundation owns and operates Two 12 Meters, America II US42 and US46; magnificent examples of a fully restored 12 meter era (1987) America’s Cup racing yachts.
